What parents are saying:
-“Alyson and her team have been working with my daughter since last August. Her team has assisted me in my home and in a Saturday social group. My daughter has made great strides with her behavior and social skills. She loves to come home and do her afternoon activities and chores and cannot wait to see her friends on Saturdays. I see a huge transformation in her behavior in just a few shorts months. I do not know what I would do without Alyson’s services.”
-"I am a mother of 2 boys who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am very particular with who watches my children. When we learned of Saturday groups at ABS Behavioral Health Services we thought we would give it a try. My son and I were so amazed and at ease. As soon as we opened the door we could feel the warmth and instant connection. The staff is welcoming, kind and invested in each child who attends group. It is amazing the positive vibe my son and I feel when we are there. In addition, the staff is well educated and experienced in applied behavior analysis. I feel without a doubt that my son will be successful and will gain new skills. The owner is also well invested in her staff, the children, as well as the parents. Way to go, Alyson Martinez and staff!"
-"Alyson Martinez has worked with my family for over 10 years. She is a BCBA who has provided direct service to my 18 year old son with autism and intellectual disabilities as well as providing additional highly skilled home based support staff for him through her company ABS Behavioral Health Services, LLC. Alyson and her staff are stellar in their ability to understand and relate to my child and family. They are respectful of family culture issues. Alyson determined my son’s limitations as well as my family’s priorities for him, set goals and worked to accomplish these goals through her and her team’s individualized service delivery. In addition she is a great addition to my son’s school team coordinating home and school issues.
Initially when Alyson took on my son’s case he was an aggressive, self injurious, tantruming, low functioning child with minimal self regulating skills. Over the years Alyson and her team have transformed my son into a young adult who can access strategies to regulate himself. He rarely has a tantrum or meltdown and enjoys socializing with others at home and in the community and acquired many ADLs and independent leisure time skills. Since my son’s favorite activity is swimming, Alyson developed a weekly Social Swim Group, which promotes social interactions and activities within a group of special needs and typical children. Not only has my son benefited tremendously from this group, but so have all the other participants. This spring will begin Social Swim’s 10th year! I would highly recommend Alyson and ABS to any family with a special needs child looking for improving the quality of their child’s life through growth and support as well as well as improving the quality of life of the whole family."
What clients are saying:
-“I like going to Alyson’s group because it is totally cool. We play Legos, we learn to share, and we learn how to talk to other people and maybe I will have friends. Everyone likes me and I can’t wait for Saturdays to come!”
