ABS Behavioral Health Services Social Skills groups will provide recurring exposure to others in a group setting where our aim will be facilitating social skills, language skills and development, initiation proficiency, and cooperative play skills.
Social Skills Groups provide individuals with the opportunity to meet new people and participate in a variety of interactive activities.
Skills are taught by peer modeling, video modeling, role play, individualized instruction, and self-monitoring.
Once skills are taught, higher-level social skills are targeted along with the maintenance and generalization of skills
